Juggernaut Hub Duo 2 ST

I received my bike a couple of weeks ago and have some pros and cons for it. First thing I discovered is there is a complete lack of guidance for the assembly. I have the Hub Duo 2 ST with the large frame and the 27.5x3 tires. Step one of the assembly instructions was to "find the quick release skewer" and install the front wheel. After 10 minutes of searching, I finally realized my bike has a solid axle and uses nuts, not the quick release skewer. The front brake caliper does not come installed on the bike, and there is no mention of that in the instructions. I was able to deal with it, but if you are not mechanically inclined, it could be a problem. The handle bar installation is also different than what is described in the instructions. So the initial feeling was not very positive because of the lack of instructions for the assembly.

Once I got it all assembled and adjusted, the first thing I noticed is the bike is BIG and HEAVY, so only get this model if you can handle the large size. My first real ride was very enjoyable. The bike is comfortable and very powerful. The one negative thing I will mention is that I find that I can't ride it with the Pedal Assist off. I'm in my late 50s and not in great shape, and it's too hard to maintain speed with pedal assist off, but I can deal with having to leave it on ECO mode (PAS1).

So all-in-all, I am enjoying the bike. I find it very comfortable to ride and am very impressed with the power. The only failing that I see is the poor assembly guidance which desperately needs to be updated.

My bike

I am still working on putting it together love the look and can’t wait to ride it but when you say easy to put together hmmm 🤔 I don’t think so
I am not good on computers first problem and than the bike that is shown on how to had parts that my bike didn’t and I had parts that where not shown either! I did not get written instructions which would have been more helpful
I am still trying to figure out how to attach the front fender and light and the other part that’s dangling by the front tire
So easy 🤔
Maybe put a little paper of info into the pack also the tools shown in the video are not the one that came with my box
A little frustration but I am exited so I will keep working on it

Pleasantly surprised how powerful the bike is.

I’ve only taken my bike out three times, so far so good. The bike has a lot of power so I tend to drive it in level one or two and use the torque when I need it. Extremely big hills where I live and I couldn’t believe how quick it was to get home. I still have four bars left and put on 40 km.

Best Commuter/Small Utility Cargo Bike Ever!

I’ve been riding this bike through the Canadian winter everyday for 4 months. The smaller 20” x 4” wheels combined with 750w motor give this bike incredible torque and safety during rush hour. Its top speed is 32km/hr even when unlocked. But thats more than enough for me. The torque makes this more fun than larger wheel sizes, booting around town and carrying heavy grocery loads with ease. Additionally, the small size allows me to easily fit in elevators even fully loaded. This is Canada’s answer to the Rad Runner series, only way better.

Won’t be using the bike for a while, but the guy at the store when I picked up the bike was excellent! Very informative and wanted to make sure I was well on my way to enjoining the bike.

This electric bike is very jerky compared to the other electric bike we own made by a different company. The ride is not smooth because when you change gears or add assistance it feel rough. Also the kick stand is one sided. Its nice to have a double/dual kick stand since bike is so heavy.
